@DoNotForgetToBe i dont mean to offend anyone but i think the birded ones were people of other times who lived in a world of other times there were other problems some similar to the ones of today some very different. we are people of other times why do we keep looking back, why dont we look what we know today and move on.instead than paying so much attention to a book that has too many incosisntecies..its like doing a few step forward abit and then get stuck on reverse...that is nusance really.

@terrunazz I'm very excited for you to comment! Thanks! Of course, I'm a guy who suspects that fiction is one of the most reliable sources through which to discover TRUTH--"...the Way that neither reason nor mortal purity can describe or name"--Farid ud-Din Attar. LOVE is crazy that way!

why the bible claims that the earth is flat and has four corners???they even attempted to kill leonardo da vinci when he came out with his theory?? why things such as space, other solar systems,or dinosaurs, or not even mentioned in the bible?? why won`t god heal the amputees??noah`s arc`s dimentions according the bible would have been too small to fit a couple of each animals in it ,why do we have to still hear the lies of a couple of birded ones who lived thousands years ago???

@jizzfish I very much appreciate these comments; so, without wanting to muddy up what might seem clear, I will go ahead and try to emphasize that I am suggesting Good cannot be defined in any way and evil (not Good) might simply be right next to good, (less than one degree away, to use your polarization scale). It's evil, perhaps, not because it's bad, but simply because it's not Good--it's not God. All of life comes from God; thus, we are receivers of life, of Good--we are receivers of God.

@jizzfish interesting... so you're saying that good is defined by it's polar opposite, that makes sense. the problem of morality is the one thing that always bothered me about theism, you have cleared things up quite nicely. just to be clear I am not a christian, I'm not anything but a wannabe philosopher. Thank you very much for thinking about my question thoroughly.
By: DoNotForgetToBe. on 05 Aug 10, 18:39:16
@jizzfish I have thought some more about your important comment: The instant man ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, deciding that he can measure these qualities, he fell from Grace. Lucifer measures good, but God does not. Lucifer, based upon his measure of good, decided that he can conquer Good. He, of course, is deceived and so is any man who thinks Good is measurable. Only God is Good.

@jizzfish I am excited about your comment because it demonstrates sincere thought in relationship to the content of the video. So, thank you for this comment. I suggest, merely suggest, the following: Logic is a skill of man and can only be used to explore human concepts, but when God declares God's Goodness, God does not insert a measure and man should not make the mistake of applying logic to determine a measure for Good. Man has no clue through logic about Good.

but if good is good how can he be omnipotent? by definition an omnipotent being transcends morality. unless you are saying that god created scale of morality and decided that he would be better suited at one end than the other. but yet again how can an omnipotent being be suited to anything if he transcends all things, even judgment. you can't judge god to be good and neither can he because in measuring himself he is limiting himself. you need to work on your logic, otherwise it was very good.

@FaridAttarify Salid, I am pleased to join with you in this YouTube medium. Your words are extremely insightful. Yes, a major theme of the Garden of Eden story is surely about Man (male and female) walking away from the source of life (God) and setting up hindrances to freedom. And, wow! Isn't it amazing how so many would-be believers spend their entire life trying to appease or please an already merciful God!

@DandyasaFlower Absolutely! Totally Cool! Thank you, Dantre and Sonya, for this proclamation!

@DandyasaFlower Dantre and Sonya, I am excited to hear your affirmation!
By: DoNotForgetToBe. on 16 Jun 10, 05:12:30
@Jardett Jardett, your insight is important because too few religious people, certainly including Christians, realize how they are not actually trusting in the God they talk about, but are, instead, trusting in their ability to prove their own faithfulness to God. So, yes, they are trusting in themselves, rather than in God who gives freely everything pertaining to life.

@BAZHE Thank you, BK. I'm glad you watched the video!

Excellent!
By: FaridAttarify. on 15 Jun 10, 07:15:58
Hmm...You bring an interesting, but challenging course to the table for digestion, though perhaps the challenge results because of the hindrances to freedom we set up ourselves. Both YHWH and ALLAH are presented in their respective texts as merciful. Yet, the tradition remains dominant to work hard to appease them.

I love this! Yes, God is good and gives freely of His goodness!
By: Jardett. on 12 Jun 10, 01:32:27
Most Christians seem to think that they are better--less of a sinner--than homosexuals; therefore, they seem to be believing in their own goodness.
